Reminder: Grants Available for Historic Preservation
Grant applications are being accepted for construction and project grants for historic resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Local governments are eligible to apply for these grants through the Keystone Historic Preservation Grant program administered by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission. The deadline is March 1, 2022. The program supports projects that identify, preserve, promote, and protect Pennsylvania’s historic properties for the benefit of the public and the revitalization of communities.
Project grants are available for planning and development initiatives that enhance historic preservation in communities. These include municipal planning initiatives focused on historic resources and may be used to meet building- or project-specific planning goals.
Construction grants may be used for rehabilitation, preservation, and restoration activities for historical resources that are publicly accessible and under nonprofit or local government ownership.
