Reminder: Sign Up for COSTARS Salt Contract by March 15

Township officials are reminded that they can participate in the COSTARS Sodium Chloride (Road Salt) Contract for the approaching August 2024 – July 2025 season, by submitting a new Salt Contract Participation Agreement by the enrollment deadline of March 15. The program allows local governments to partner with the state to gain better pricing on road salt contracts. Contracts may be submitted electronically through the members section of the DGS COSTARS website at www.dgs.pa.gov/COSTARS and selecting “I’m a Buyer/Members Area.”
