Shapiro to Sign Property Tax/Rent Rebate Expansion  

Today, Governor Shapiro will visit Lackawanna County to sign HB 1100 into law to expand the Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) program, making good on a campaign promise to Pennsylvania seniors to ease the burden of rising costs. 

As a result of this historic expansion – the first for the program since 2006 – nearly 175,000 more Pennsylvanians will qualify and many of the 400,000 seniors who already qualify will see their rebates nearly double, with future increases to the program being tied to inflation.
