Voters in the 36th Senate District in Lancaster County and the 35th Legislative District in Allegheny County will vote to fill two vacancies in the state legislature. The Senate holds a 27-22 Republican majority, while the House is evenly split 101-101.  

The 36th Senate District is vacant due to the resignation of former Sen. Ryan Aument to serve as U.S. Senator Dave McCormick’s state director. The 35th Legislative District vacancy is due to the death of Rep. Matt Gergley.
