Special Elections Fill Seats in State House
Two special elections were held in Philadelphia yesterday to fill vacancies in two state House of Representatives seats due to resignation. Keith Harris won the seat for the 195th district and Andre Carroll won the 201st. Both Democrats were unopposed. This restores the narrow 102-101 Democrat majority in the House, which is scheduled to return to non-voting session on Monday, September 23.
