Time is Running Out for FCC Map Challenges! Challenges Due January 13
Township officials and residents are running out of time to review and submit challenges to the new Federal Communications Commission’s broadband access map. The map’s accuracy is crucial for the commonwealth to receive sufficient federal funding to ensure high-speed internet access for all Pennsylvanians. Challenges to the maps are due January 13, and townships interested in ensuring that residents currently not served by land-based broadband have an opportunity for funding should visit the maps and submit challenges to inaccurate data. Townships interested in collaborating with the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority on a bulk challenge submission need to send all completed spreadsheets to Kalie Snyder at kysnyder@pa.gov no later than January 9.
