U.S. Postal Service Expected to Increase Rates July 14
The U.S. Postal Service is expected to impose a 5-cent stamp increase on July 9 to offset inflation. A first-class stamp would increase from 68 to 73 cents, metered first class mail would increase from 64 to 69 cents, and postcards would increase from 53 to 56 cents if the proposal is approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission. This would be the second price increase this year.
